How to Build a Healthy Morning Routine
Drink 12oz of water with a 1/4 teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt and freshly squeezed lemon juice. This will help with digestion, fight bloating, keep you regular, and alkalize your body (lemons, while acidic, are alkalizing once digested).
Make a healthy breakfast. Supporting your body through proper nutrition is key to keeping you energized, avoiding that crash feeling later in the day, and powering your workouts. If you aren’t sure where to start, try monthly nutrition coaching.
Get moving. Even if you don’t want to do your training first thing in the morning, finding a way to commute to and from work on foot or by bike can add great value to your day.
Do some breathwork. Breathing is essential to weight lifting, training, and relaxing the muscles. You can start practicing by taking three full seconds to inhale deep into your belly, pause, then exhale at the same pace. Repeat this for five minutes.
